Disclosed are a mobile terminal, and a method for controlling the same. The mobile terminal according to an embodiment of the present invention has an earphone with an embedded cable-type battery, inserted thereinto, and can output a sound through any one between an embedded speaker and the earphone of the mobile terminal, when a sound output function is executed while being charged through the cable-type battery. Therefore, a sound can be outputted to a sound output route reflecting an intention of a user who inserts the earphone into the mobile terminal. |
