1. An array substrate for a liquid crystal display device, comprising:
a substrate; first and second gate lines on the substrate, the first and second gate lines parallel to and spaced apart from each other; first and second common lines parallel to and spaced apart from the first and second gate lines; first and second data lines crossing the first and second gate lines and the first and second common lines, wherein a pixel region is surrounded by the first and second data lines and the first and second common lines, wherein the pixel region includes a first area surrounded by the first and second data lines, the second gate line and the first common line and a second area surrounded by the first and second data lines, the first gate line and the second common line, and wherein the first area has a two-domain structure and the second area has a mono-domain structure; first and second thin film transistors in the pixel region, the first and second thin film transistors connected to the first and second gate lines, respectively; a first pixel electrode and a first common electrode alternately disposed in the first area, at least one of the first pixel electrode and the first common electrode having a bent part; and a second pixel electrode and a second common electrode alternately disposed in the second area. |
