In a smart device which includes at least one application installed thereon and is linked to at least one security element, a predetermined control procedure of obtaining an encryption key from the security element is performed if data to be stored is generated by execution of a predetermined application; the data to be stored are encrypted according to a predetermined encryption algorithm by using the encryption key obtained from the security element; and the encrypted data to be stored are stored in a storage space set by the predetermined application.
