The present invention relates to a vertical dipping-type filtering device and a method thereof. Raw water for filtering water supply source indirect intake water, filtered water from waterworks, water treated in an advance level from sewage, water treated from contaminated water of a nonpoint pollution source, artificially recharged underground water is dipped in a sphere and simultaneously filtered by using an upper surface, a lower surface, and an overall circumferential height surface of a sand filter bed as filter beds. Filtered treatment water is discharged through a water collecting device formed in the center of a filter medium layer. A general sand filter feeds raw water through a horizontal surface, an upper surface, or a lower surface of a sand layer. When the raw water is fed to an upper surface, it is referred to as downward current filtering. When the raw water is fed to a lower surface, it is referred to as upward current filtering. However, the vertical dipping-type filtering device of the present invention dips an upper surface, a lower surface, and a height surface, which is an overall outer side surface, of a filter bed in raw water, and simultaneously supplies raw water to be filtered to a three-dimensional surface and discharged to a water collecting device formed in the center thereof. Compared to other techniques with respect to the same plane, a maximal filtering amount can be obtained. |
