PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily process a plurality of images including an overlapping region.SOLUTION: A spatial frequency characteristic adjusting section performs adjustment for matching spatial frequency characteristics of first image data corresponding to a first image and second image data corresponding to a second image including an overlapping region with the first image. An image processing section performs processing using the first image data and the second image data after the adjustment. For example, the image processing section detects respective feature amounts of the first image and the second image within the overlapping region on the basis of the adjusted first image data and the adjusted second image data and performs processing utilizing the detected feature amounts.
