PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a binder maintaining a performance even in a high temperature environment, for example at 60°C; a lithium ion secondary battery negative electrode using the binder and exhibiting excellent characteristics; and a lithium ion secondary battery.SOLUTION: A lithium ion secondary battery comprises a lithium ion secondary battery negative electrode including: a negative electrode active material layer including a binder mainly composed of a polyamide-imide resin represented by the following formula 1, silicon powder or a mixture of the silicon powder, and a conductive assistant; and a collector.
