An intermediate transfer member for use in an image-recording method that includes applying a reaction liquid to an intermediate transfer member, forming an intermediate image by applying an ink to the intermediate transfer member to which the reaction liquid has been applied, and transferring the intermediate image to a recording medium. The intermediate transfer member has protruding structures having an average height of 3.0 μm or less on a surface thereof. An average ratio R of surface areas of the intermediate transfer member to a unit area of a surface of the intermediate transfer member and an average ratio S of a total surface area of upper portions of the protruding structures to a unit area of the surface of the intermediate transfer member satisfy the following formula (1):;S≦1/24·(10R−13)   (1);wherein R≧1.3, and 0≦S≦1.
