<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device and an image processing program capable of optimally accentuating the contrast of a region that is desired to be accentuated.SOLUTION: A representative value calculation part 41 calculates a representative value that is a luminance value representing a major subject region, from an input image. An image split part 42, in the meanwhile, splits an image region of the input image, and sets a plurality of split ranges. A coefficient calculation part 43 calculates a gradation conversion coefficient for accentuating or suppressing the contrast in the neighborhood of the representative value calculated by the representative value calculation part 41 for each region split by the image split part 42 (each split region). A gradation conversion part 44 converts the gradation of each pixel of the input image on the basis of the gradation conversion coefficient in the range split by the image split part 42, which is the range to which a pixel to be subjected to image processing belongs, and the range adjacent to that range. In consequence, the contrast of a region that is desired to be accentuated can be optimally accentuated.</p> |
