PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain tensioner which can enhance a degree of freedom of an oil feed position by a simple constitution, can supply a necessary and sufficient volume of oil at a restart after an oil feed stop for a long period of time, is reducible in size by being shortened as a whole, is easy in manufacturing, and can be reduced in manufacturing costs.SOLUTION: A chain tensioner 100 energizes a plunger 120 which is inserted into a plunger accommodation hole 111 of a tensioner body 110 in a protruding direction by using energization means 140 which is telescopically arranged at a hydraulic pressure chamber 101. An oil storage chamber 123 is formed at a side which is protruded from a check valve 150 in a plunger main body 126, and a communication adjustment groove 103 for forming an oil supply space 102 is formed at an internal periphery of the plunger accommodation hole 111. |
