PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio control system and the like that can flexibly determine the position of a radio communication device according to a surrounding radio wave environment while making good use of an existing apparatus and existing wiring.SOLUTION: A radio control system comprises: a switch device 300 connected with an illumination apparatus; and a radio communication device 400 connected with the switch device 300 via a cable L4 for wirelessly communicating with an information gathering device. The switch device 300 comprises: a power supply unit; an operation unit 303; a communication interface unit 302 for communicating with the radio communication device 400 via the cable L4; and a control unit for controlling the illumination apparatus on the basis of an input signal from the operation unit 303 or a reception signal at the radio communication device 400 input via the communication interface unit 302. The radio communication device 400 comprises attachment parts 405 that can be attached to a plurality of opposite parts 730 for attachment formed on the switch device 300 or a switch box 700.
