PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active material capable of enhancing density of an electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery in comparison with the case where a Li-M-P composite oxide having a small diameter is used, making a battery have high density per volume since it is high density and also to provide the electrode and the lithium ion secondary battery.SOLUTION: An electrode includes an active material layer in which a binding body containing a Li-M-P composite oxide, a conductive assistant and a first resin is dispersed in a second resin different from the first resin.
