Provided are: a sealing film for solar cells, which is mainly composed of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and is suppressed in discoloration caused by a heavy metal even during a long period of use, while having excellent insulating properties; and a solar cell. A sealing film for solar cells, which is formed of a composition that contains a resin material containing an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, and which is characterized in that the composition contains an organic phosphonic acid compound; and a solar cell which is obtained by sealing a solar cell element and a member containing a heavy metal by means of the sealing film. |
