1. A method for ejecting droplets of a molten metal, the molten metal being positioned in a fluid chamber body, the fluid chamber body forming a fluid chamber for holding an amount of the molten metal, the fluid chamber body comprising an orifice, the orifice being in communication with the fluid chamber, the method comprising the steps of:
providing a magnetic field to at least part of the molten metal positioned in the fluid chamber; and providing an electrical current in the part of the molten metal positioned in the magnetic field, thereby generating a Lorentz force in the molten metal, wherein the molten metal is a molten alloy comprising a first molten metal and a second molten metal, wherein the first molten metal and the second molten metal are selected such that in operation, the second molten metal segregates from the first metal. |
