A thermal print head is provided with: a substrate; a thermal storage part formed on the substrate; a resistor layer formed on the substrate; an electrode layer formed on the substrate and electrically continuous with the resistor layer; a protection layer covering the resistor layer and the electrode layer; and a height increasing part. The resistor layer includes a plurality of heat generating parts each extending over two portions apart from each other of the electrode layer when viewed in the thickness direction of the substrate. The height increasing part is disposed between the two portions apart from each other of the electrode layer. |
