PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abrasive composition which provides good mirror surfaces and glossy surfaces, achieves good efficiency of polishing operation and contains an abrasive grain mixture with an inexpensive and general-purpose particle for abrasives as the main agent.SOLUTION: An abrasive composition contains an abrasive mixture which comprises an abrasive main agent consisting of aluminum oxide particles and/or silicon dioxide particles having an average particle size of 3-20 μm and tungsten carbide particles or titanium carbide particles having an average particle size of 0.3-10 μm and being smaller in average particle size than the abrasive main agent, in a content of the tungsten carbide particles or the titanium carbide particles of 1.5-25 wt.%. |
