A treatment instrument (10) comprising a probe (3), a sheath (23), a jaw (52), and an opening-closing axis member (100) with an opening-closing axis (101). The opening-closing axis member (100) is set at a position, which is offset in the opening-closing direction with respect to a hollow section (23a) so as not to overlap the hollow section (23a) in the opening-closing direction. In said configuration, the opening-closing axis member (100) is inserted in the jaw (52) and the sheath (23) so that the opening-closing axis member (100) pierces the sheath (23) and the jaw (52), which are disposed parallel to each other in the opening-closing axis direction, at a position that is offset from the hollow section (23a) in the opening-closing direction. By being inserted, the opening-closing axis member (100) attaches the jaw (52) to the sheath (23). |
