[Class 132 (ii)] [See also Group XVII] A racket-press of the type comprising two main members adapted to clamp the racket between them by means of a central bolt passing through racket stringing, is combined with a stretched fabric envelope fastened to the press. Preferably, the envelope E is double walled, and the frame members A, B, comprising plates reinforced by webs C are secured between the two walls E<1>, E<2> by sewing, riveting or stapling. The clamping bolt D is prevented from complete withdrawal from member B, and the envelope E has an opening, for insertion of the racket, closed by press-studs or by a sliding clasp fastener F to grip the racket shaft at G.</p> |
