<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase sound pressure in a low frequency domain and a high frequency domain in a piezoelectric speaker. <P>SOLUTION: The piezoelectric speaker 1 includes a piezoelectric vibrator 2; a plate 3 which is provided around the piezoelectric vibrator 2 and holds the piezoelectric vibrator 2; and a frame 4 for supporting the outer periphery of the plate 3. The piezoelectric vibrator 2 has a piezoelectric material 21 comprising piezoelectric elements; and a metal plate 22 which has a larger diameter than the piezoelectric material 21 and is attached on the surface of the piezoelectric material 21 in a concentric circle shape. The plate 3 includes a thin film member for elastically holding the piezoelectric vibrator 2 and has a bellows structure having either a mountain or a valley, or both in the outer periphery direction. The amplitude of the piezoelectric vibrator 2 increases by the bellows structure of the plate 3, thereby increasing sound pressure in a low frequency domain and a high frequency domain. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
