A rewrite processing unit 23 reads out compressed data of a designated book from a compressed electronic book data storage unit 22, and based on one rewrite method out of a plurality of rewrite methods, rewrites a part of the read-out compressed electronic book data, and sends the rewritten compressed electronic book data and script for decompression corresponding to the rewrite to the client terminal 1. A compressed electronic book data restoration unit 111 restores the original compressed electronic book data by applying the script for decompression to the rewritten compressed electronic book data distributed from the electronic book server 2. An expansion processing unit 12 applies expansion processing by inputting the restored original compressed electronic book data and returns it to the browser 11.</p> |
