A device 10 for attachment to a spoked bicycle wheel (80, fig.5) comprises a central section 11 locatable around the wheel hub (85), and a plurality of elongate members 12, 13, 14, 15, 21 attachable to the central section; wherein, when attached, the elongate members are radially and equidistantly disposed; the length of which is adjustable, such that, in use, the elongate members extend from the central section to the rim of the wheel. The cooperating formations may be a plurality of slots 23 disposed around the outer periphery of the central section; a formation near one end of each elongate member that cooperating with said slots. A stop 42 may limit the distance the elongate member can pass through the slot. The formation may be: a pair of indents 24, 25 that cooperate with said slot; a resilient, centrally located flap (64, Fig.3); or the central section may comprise two, split rings (121,122, Fig .8) having male (125) and female (127) connections, the male connections interacting with holes 129 in the elongate members. Graduated formations 31-36, (66-69, Fig.3), (133,134 Fig.10) may allow trimming to the correct overall diameter for the wheel. |
