<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of rapidly performing print processing based on multiple print data when the print processing based on multiple print data is continuously executed. <P>SOLUTION: It is determined whether printing execution information indicating that the execution of second printing to be executed subsequently to first printing is started or possibly started until the execution of capping operation associated with the completion of the first printing is started prior to the receipt of print data related to the second printing. When no receipt of printing execution information is determined as a result, the execution of the capping operation is started after the lapse of a first time from the completion of first printing.
