METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING DEVICE-TO-DEVICE COMMUNICATION IN WIRELESS ACCESS SYSTEM

The present invention discloses a method and apparatus for performing device-to-device (D2D) communication in a wireless access system supporting the D2D communication. More specifically, the method comprises the steps of: receiving, from a base station (BS), information regarding a discovery reference signal (DRS) transmitted from a mobile station (MS) which communicates using a cellular network; monitoring DRSs transmitted from one or more neighboring MSs; generating a list of the one or more neighboring MSs; transmitting the generated list of the one or more neighboring MSs to the BS; receiving, from the BS, information regarding resources allocated for the D2D communication; and performing the D2D communication with another BS by using the allocated resources.

1. In a wireless access system supportive of a D2D (device-to-device) communication, a method of performing the D2D communication, comprising the step of:
receiving information on a DRS (discovery reference signal) transmitted by a user equipment performing a communication using a cellular network from a base station; monitoring the DRS transmitted from at least one neighbor user equipment; creating a list of the at least one neighbor user equipment using the DRS received from the at least one neighbor user equipment; transmitting the created list of the at least one neighbor user equipment to the base station; receiving information on a resource allocated for the D2D communication from the base station; and performing the D2D communication with a different user equipment using the allocated resource.
