摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell culture substrate in which clay minerals disperse homogeneously finely into an organic polymer, in extensive clay mineral content, and which is composed of a polymer composite having flexible and tough excellent dynamic physical properties, and further can rapidly recover cultured cells without neither breakage of cells nor mixing of a substrate at the time of isolation and recovery of the cultured cells, and to provide a cell culture method which can readily recover the cultured cells.SOLUTION: The invention provides a cell culture substrate using a polymer composite (C) in which a water-swellable clay mineral (B) slightly disperses into a copolymer (A) using as a monomer one or more kinds selected from among 2-methoxy ethyl acrylate, and N-isopropylacrylamide and N,N-dimethylacrylamide. The cultured cell can be separated from the cell culture substrate by culturing cells using the cell culture substrate under the temperature condition which the cell culture substrate shows cell adhesion property, subsequently lowering the temperature of the cell culture substrate, and adjusting the temperature to the temperature at which the cell culture substrate shows cell adhesion property.
