COMPOSITION FOR PREVENTING OR TREATING PEYRONIE'S DISEASE COMPRISING SMAD 7

The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating Peyronie′s disease comprising a Smad 7 gene or a Smad 7 protein as an active ingredient. A Smad 7 gene or a Smad 7 protein according to the present invention decreases fibrosis lesion of tunica albuginea, inhibits phosphorylation of Smad 2/3 in penis fibroblast, a transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) signal transduction pathway and differentiation from penis fibroblast to myofibroblast and has an excellent antifibrotic effect by decreasing synthesis of extracellular matrix and thus can be helpfully used for preventing or treating Peyronie′s disease.
