CHARGING METHOD OF SODIUM SULFUR DIOXIDE SECONDARY BATTERIES

The present invention relates to a method for charging a sodium-sulfur dioxide secondary battery. The method is used to enhance the capacity and life characteristic of the sodium-sulfur dioxide secondary battery. The method derives a self-regeneration reaction by charging the battery to be higher than the initial flammable discharging capacity. Accordingly, the surface and pore of a porous carbon positive electrode can be restored by the regeneration reaction occurring upon being excessively charged so that the capacity and life characteristic of the battery can be enhanced.
