PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting cable line in which the load of a refrigerating machine for cooling a coolant is small and a heat insulated pipeline.SOLUTION: A superconducting cable line is provided with: a superconducting cable which comprises a cable core having a superconducting conductor layer and a heat insulated pipe having an inner pipe that contains the cable core and is filled with a coolant and an outer pipe that is provided outside the inner pipe; and a plate-like magnetic shielding member which is interposed between the superconducting cable and a magnetic field-generating cable that applies a magnetic field to the superconducting cable, and which shields the superconducting cable from the magnetic field. The magnetic shielding member has a ferromagnetic layer that is configured of a ferromagnetic material and is electromagnetically independent from other members that are configured of ferromagnetic materials.
