PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of controlling the intensity of imaging light in a configuration of detecting the residual potential of a photoreceptor.SOLUTION: The target of APC is within an imaging light intensity range, that is, within a range LLof monitor voltage AD conversion values Lto L. ACC fixedly controls the intensity of residual potential detection light. In this case, the dynamic range of a monitor voltage AD conversion value is the range LLof monitor voltage AD conversion values Lto L, which is narrower than the case where the target of APC includes the intensity of residual potential detection light. Thus, the resolution of a monitor voltage increases, and the accuracy of APC increases. |
