Provided are compositions and methods for ideally suited for improving the appearance of thinning hair in human subjects with a lower alkyl-substituted bicycloalkane, such as 6-(5-ethoxyhept-l-yl)bicyclo[3.3.0]octan-3-one or 6-(5-methoxyhept-l-yl)bicyclo[3.3.0]octan-3-one in combination with minoxidil and optionally catalase, hair dye, temporary hair color, P. sativum, and/or pseudocatalase for improving the appearance of hair, without enhancing collagen destruction potentially caused by minoxidil. |
