In the form shown, the member 1 fixed tc the frame has a flange 7 and a central hub 6, while the member 2 fixed to the moving member has a flange 8 fitting outside the flange 7 of member 1 and a boss 5 fitting in the bore of the hub 6. The flange 8 of member 2 is provided on part of its periphery with teeth 9 for engagement by a worm 10 fixed on a shaft 11 by which the window or ventilator may be operated. The shaft 11 is preferably operated by a handle 18 through bevel gearing 15, 16, but pawl and ratchet gearing may be used. Several windows or ventilators may be operated from one handle by a suitable arrangement of gearing.
