<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide guide information which is useful to a user according to the situation. <P>SOLUTION: A navigation device determines whether the situation in which one's own vehicle is placed meets one of a plurality of predetermined presentation occurrence conditions (step S30), and makes a presentation corresponding to the presentation occurrence condition when it is determined that one of the conditions is met (step S80). The navigation device sets a destination or a via-point of the one's own vehicle based upon the presentation, and searches for a route corresponding to the destination or the via-point (step S110).
