<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easy removal of a drive motor of image reading means from a back surface of a frame, and enable stable exposure/scanning of a document. <P>SOLUTION: A drive section for driving an exposure/scanning section for reading in an image of a document has a driveshaft 26e arranged along a main scan direction at one end part of a sub scan direction of a frame 11A. On an outer side of a back part of the frame 11A, a support frame 31 of an ADF unit is arranged inward of the driveshaft 26e with respect to the sub scan direction, and a drive motor 26a is arranged inward of the support frame 31 with respect to the sub scan direction. The support frame 31 has flat leg portions 31b and 31c extending along the main scan direction on opposite ends of the sub scan direction, and a toothed belt 26c for transmitting a rotation of the drive motor 26a to the driveshaft 26e passes through openings 31m and 31n formed on the respective leg portions 31b and 31c of the support frame 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
