A system for displaying images to passengers in a vehicle 6 travelling along a path 1, e.g. in a railway tunnel, comprises a plurality of sensor arrangements 40, 41 and a plurality of display apparatuses 2 arranged along the path. Each display apparatus includes a display controller to time the output of images on the display apparatus to generate an apparently stationary image by persistence of vision which is visible to the passengers. Each display controller receives the outputs of each of the plurality of sensor arrangements and controls the display apparatus accordingly. The sensor arrangements are adapted to determine the speed of the vehicle. An ambient light sensor may also be provided. |
