The present invention relates to an iron-chromium alloy encapsulant for an organic light emitting diode (OLED), which can be manufactured in an electro-foaming method, can control a thermal expansion coefficient and surface-roughness, and has excellent heat dissipating properties and/or waterproofness, and a method for manufacturing the same. According to the present invention, the iron-chromium alloy encapsulant comprises: an iron-chromium alloy foil including 30 to 50 w% of chromium, 100 to 1000 ppm of sulfur, remainder iron, and other inevitable impurities; and a carbon nanotube (CNT) layer formed on one surface or both surfaces of the iron-chromium alloy foil. In addition, the method comprises the following steps: allowing a conductive mother substrate to be in contact with electrolyte including an iron precursor, a chromium precursor, and a sulfur-containing compound except for sulphate or sulfur-containing metal; applying current to the electrolyte and conductive mother substrate, electrodepositing iron and chromium on the conductive mother substrate, and codepositing sulfur to form an electrodeposited layer of sulfur-containing iron-chromium alloy; and peeling the electrodeposited layer from the conductive mother substrate to obtain an iron-chromium alloy foil. The sulfur-containing iron-chromium alloy foil includes the CNT layer formed on one surface thereof. |
