The present invention relates to a liquid crystal element and a use thereof. An exemplary liquid crystal element of the present invention exhibits a high contrast ratio as an element capable of running a normally transparent mode, and can be driven by a low driving voltage. Such liquid crystal element can be applied in various optical modulation devices such as a smart window, a window shield film, a flexible display device, an active retarder for 3D image displays, a viewing-angle image control film, or the like. |
