The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating signal transducers and activators of transcription 3 (STAT3)-mediated diseases containing a schisandra chinensis baillon extract using a non-polar organic solvent having STAT3 inhibitory activity as an active ingredient. A chisandra chinensis baillon extract according to the present invention and an organic solvent extract thereof can be effectively used for preventing and treating STAT3-mediated diseases such as inflammation or the like due to inhibiting STAT3 activity.
