A shoe upper comprising an interior or an exterior reinforcing material that is less likely to stretch than material forming a sock, is attached to an interior face or an exterior face of the sock, and extends to the sole from an inner or an outer eyelet decoration, wherein: the exterior reinforcing material includes a first reinforcing portion covering the fifth proximal phalanx from the side face and a second reinforcing portion that covers the fifth metatarsal bone structure or bone base from the side face; the interior reinforcing material includes a third reinforcing portion that covers the ball from the side face; and the width of at least one of the reinforcing portions is smaller on the lower end than the upper end. |
