Provided is an organic EL display device which can prevent separation of an interlayer between an organic EL device and an adjacent layer, and can secure high reliability. The display device comprises: a first substrate comprising a plurality of pixels comprising a light emission area of a light emitting device constituted by sequentially stacking a first electrode, a light emitting layer and a second electrode on a first plane; a first insulating layer which is arranged on the first electrode, and comprises an aperture opening the first electrode in contact with the light emitting layer located at a position corresponding to the light emitting area; a second insulating layer which is arranged to form a certain thickness on an area where the aperture on the first insulating layer is not formed; and an encapsulation film which is arranged to cover the light emitting device on the second electrode. The light emitting layer includes an area which is arranged on the first insulating layer and the second insulating layer, but is not arranged on a lateral side of the second insulating layer. The second insulating layer is in contact with the second electrode or the encapsulation film, in an area where the light emitting layer is not disposed on the lateral side of the second insulating layer. |
