Systems, tools and methods for high power laser surface decommissioning and downhole welding

There are provided using high power laser systems for performing decommissioning welding and repair of structures in boreholes, off¬ shore, and other remote and hazardous locations. In a particular embodiment the laser system is a Class I system. The present inventions relate to methods, apparatus and systems for the delivery of high power laser beams to cut and remove structures in the earth, and in particular, for surface decommissioning activities for hydrocarbon wells, among other things.
