The present invention relates to a vehicle power control device and a method therefor and, more specifically, to a vehicle power control device and a method therefor, which enable the prediction of an accurate discharge time of the vehicle on the basis of a charged capacity of a main battery and an auxiliary battery of the vehicle and the current consumption of a black box. The vehicle power control device, according to the present invention, comprises: an ignition detection unit for detecting an ignition on/off state of the vehicle; a charge mode performing unit for performing a charge mode for an auxiliary battery of the vehicle if the ignition on-state of the vehicle is detected; a discharge mode performing unit for performing a discharge mode for the auxiliary battery of the vehicle if the ignition off-state of the vehicle is detected; a first control unit for controlling the on/off of an internal heater or the on/off of the charge mode by comparing a current internal temperature value of the vehicle with a preset temperature value when the charge mode is performed; and a second control unit for controlling an output of a main battery or the auxiliary battery of the vehicle by calculating a charged capacity of the main battery and the auxiliary battery of the vehicle when the discharge mode is performed. |
