<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable gesture operation for viewport widget in a graphical user interface (GUI) library.SOLUTION: A sensor grid consists of sensor blobs, which are small blobs of pixels with a distinct color, and are aware of its location in both viewport's coordinate system and camera's coordinate system. Occlusion patterns occluded by a finger 108 (or stylus) in the sensor grid rendered over the viewport are detected by use of a camera 102. An occlusion event is triggered at the location. Gesture detection including continuous operations such as panning, zooming and rotating is enabled.</p> |
