The invention relates to a voltage converter for an on-board electrical machine in a vehicle, including: switches arranged such as to convert an input voltage into an output voltage; a control unit intended for outputting a control signal to said switches such as to convert the input voltage into the output voltage; at least one operating unit (UP) for operating said switches such as to adapt said control signals output by the control unit in order to control said switches; an isolating transformer (14), having at least one primary winding and at least one secondary winding, arranged between said control unit and functional elements (16) of said operating unit (UP) such as to enable signal transmission between the control unit and the operating unit (UP) via a magnetic circuit, in which the circuit of the primary winding and the circuit of the secondary winding are connected to the same voltage mass.
