An Al-Si-Mg system aluminum alloy for casting, which is formed of, on a mass basis, 12.0-14.0% of Si, 1.5-4.0% of Mg and 0.10% or less of Mn, with the balance made up of Al and unavoidable impurities, and which has excellent specific stiffness, strength and ductility; and a cast member which is formed from this Al-Si-Mg system aluminum alloy for casting. |
