PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold plate that prevents leakage of a liquid coolant onto electronic equipment being cooled, and a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A cold plate 10 includes an enclosure 20 with an inlet 28, an outlet 30, a base 22 and a lid. The inlet and outlet are in fluid communication, so that a fluid flows from the inlet though the enclosure to the outlet. The base is formed from a base plate 34, and the base plate includes an island facing the inside of the enclosure. A plurality of pins 40 extends from the island toward the lid 24. The pins have a spiral shape, where the cross section of the pins changes along the length of the pins. |
