The purpose of the present invention is to provide a disposable diaper that is easy to wear and can be stably worn without damaging wearer's feeling even in the case where a crotch sheet member is pulled downward during wearing or absorbing and/or retaining excrement. The disposable diaper (1) is provided with a back side sheet member (4), said back side sheet member (4) comprising a base body part (8) and a hip-covering part (9), wherein: the base body part (8) extends along the lengthwise direction of the back side sheet member (4) and is provided with at least one first elastic member (23) that is elastically stretchable along the axial direction; the hip-covering part (9) is disposed in the edge part (9a) on the central side in the lengthwise direction of a crotch sheet member (2) in the hip-covering part (9) along the edge section (9a) and provided with at least one second elastic member (24) that is elastically stretchable along the axial direction; and the first elastic member (23) and the second elastic member (24) are fixed in such a state that a part of the edge section in the axial direction of one elastic member intersects with a part of the edge section in the axial direction of the other elastic member, each edge section being positioned at the terminal side in the lengthwise direction of the back side sheet member (4). |
