摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejection head and a liquid ejection device, capable of suppressing the breakage of a piezoelectric element by reducing the stress concentration to the piezoelectric element. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid ejection head includes: a flow passage forming substrate 10 having a plurality of pressure generation chambers 12 juxtaposed to communicate with nozzles; and the piezoelectric elements 300 provided on one surface side of the flow passage forming substrate respectively in conformation to the pressure generation chambers, each of the piezoelectric elements including a first electrode 60, a piezoelectric layer 70 provided on the first electrode and a second electrode 80 provided on the piezoelectric layer. The liquid ejection head further includes a stepped portion 110 on at least one end portion in a direction crossing the juxtaposing direction of the pressure generation chambers in which the flow passage forming substrate is thinned to a fixed thickness and the depth of the pressure generation chamber is reduced. The boundary between an activation section 320 located between both the first and second electrodes of the piezoelectric layer in which an electric field is generated and a non-activation section 330 in which either the first or second electrode is absent and no electric field is generated is provided at a position facing the stepped portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p>
