<p>A gas flow distribution device 30 for use in a cryocooler apparatus, such as a pulse tube refrigerator (PTR), has an inlet 32, several outlets 34 (34a-q) and several gas flow paths connecting the inlet to each of the outlets. The length of the gas flow path from the inlet to each respective outlet is substantially identical, and the outlets may also include a gas linearization device 50, for example flow channels which are aligned substantially parallel with each other. The arrangement provides for a substantially even distribution of the gas flow through the gas flow distribution device and across the annular cross-sectional area of the regenerator (14 Figure 1).</p> |
