<p>A system for data storage comprises a printed circuit board (PCB), a central processing unit (CPU) coupled to the printed circuit board, a USB connector coupled to the CPU, and a USB receptacle connector coupled to the CPU. The connector and receptacle may be on opposite ends of the system, and the connector may connect to a USB-power adapter. The receptacle connects to a USB-drive to provide a smart USB device. The system may comprise a bus coupled to the CPU, memory coupled to the bus, and a wireless device integrated into the CPU. The system may comprise a rechargeable battery to power the smart USB device, which may automatically connect with a portable device and/or a cloud-based network without using a manual push button. The smart USB device may have a first configuration when the smart USB is connected non-wirelessly, and a second configuration when the smart device is connected wirelessly.</p> |
