<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noise removal device that effectively removes noise in a small circuit scale mainly comprising an IIR filter and effectively suppresses image spreading and blurring. <P>SOLUTION: The noise removal device includes a filter section 30, and a coefficient setting section 22 for setting a coefficient of a filter included in the filter section 30. The filter section 30 includes a first filter 37 that is an IIR filter. The coefficient setting section 22 computes a difference value between a pixel value 237 of a pixel of interest filtered through the first filter 37 and a pixel value 200 of the pixel of interest yet to be filtered, computes a difference integral value 250 that is an integral value of the difference value, and sets a coefficient 222 of the first filter on the basis of a result of comparison of the difference integral value with a first threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
