<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary compressor including a bypass pipe which has the high function of returning oil from an upper space to a lower space of a motor. <P>SOLUTION: The rotary compressor 1 includes: a longitudinal casing 10 which accumulates the oil in a lower part and is sealed tightly; a refrigerant compression part which is arranged on the lower part in the casing 10 and is lubricated with the oil; and the motor which is arranged on an upper part in the casing 10 and drives the refrigerant compression part.
