<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal aligning agent that has excellent liquid crystal aligning property and high light resistance, suppresses a lowering of a voltage holding ratio even when the layer is irradiated with light of high intensity, can form a liquid crystal aligned layer having excellent electric characteristics, and has good storage stability. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal aligning agent of the present invention includes a polyorganosiloxane having at least one kind of structure selected from the group consisting of an acetal ester structure of a carboxylic acid, a ketal ester structure of a carboxylic acid, a 1-alkyl cycloalkyl ester structure of a carboxylic acid and a tertiary alkyl ester structure of a carboxylic acid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
